Very Special Delivery

Last week held an unexpected event in our family.  Our third granddaughter arrived a little more than 4 weeks early.  Needless to say this was not a normal week around our house! We were expecting her in October.

I got to hold her when she was one day old.  SuperDave waited a whole week until she was home from the hospital.

Don't you love baby feet?

I spent 5 out of 8 nights at my son's house with this little sweetie while Mom and Dad took care of the new bundle of joy.  Why is watching a toddler so tiring?  You just feed them, change them, play with them, bathe them, repeat, repeat, repeat but it takes all your energy and attention!

She's as silly as her Dad.  She would look at me between her legs and say her favorite word, "HI!"

We had some very special LaLa time together. And I came home with many memories and lots of pictures.

Mom, Dad, and baby are fine now.  Sadly, I'm back to my regular 40 hour/week job and it's not near as fun as playing with a grand girl.  Also, I'm an hour away - longer depending on Dallas traffic - which is always awful. So I can't just drop in after work and get baby snuggles.  They say with age comes wisdom, and I have the wisdom to know that grand babies grow up way too fast, so I cherish every moment with each one of them.

Much love and laughter,

Laura
